Phase 1: Preparation
Cover Design: Submit any special artwork (photographs, line drawings, a reference to another directory cover you like) to our Graphic Artists for your custom-designed cover.
Guide Section: Submit a Microsoft Word document of all the information you want formatted into your Guide Section (20+ pages of ministry information) and any photographs to be included. Our Production Team will layout the information for your proof.
Directory Section: Simply provide your membership data from your existing church management software. We use industry-standard CASS certification to verify every address, ensuring your books reach your members and saving you from outdated records.
Phase 2: Design & Funding
Custom-Curated Content: Your Guide Section is your own. We provide 20+ pages for your ministries, schedules, and photos, custom-typeset by our Graphic Artists. Once your information has been formatted by our team, and the directory added, you will receive a printed proof of the book in the mail. All adjustments should be noted on this document, and returned to us within two weeks.
Community-Sourced Funding: Our team, meanwhile, connects with local, family-aligned businesses to underwrite the cost of your publication in exchange for advertising their services to your members. You get a professional, high-quality book without touching your budget.
Phase 3: Delivery & Digital
Direct-to-Home Delivery: We don’t just print; we deliver. Every household receives a copy via direct-mail at our expense. Plus extra copies of the book are sent to your office for new families throughout the year.
Digital: We provide a secure digital PDF version for your office staff (and sending to members, if you so choose, for downloading to their cell phones). A second digital PDF, this time without the directory, is uploaded to our website as a mobile-friendly “Online Guide” to keep your members connected on the go.
Your Data, Your Control: Unlike digital-only apps that may sell user data, Guide Book Publishing never sells or shares your membership list. Your directory belongs solely to your congregation.
