Ruth Kesselring is the engine behind the daily operations at Guide Book Publishing. Having joined the company in 2008, Ruth’s journey from the Press Department to General Manager gives her a unique, “full-circle” understanding of every book we produce. Because she has seen the process from the perspective of the press room, she brings a rare level of technical insight to her leadership of the Art, Production, Administration, and Human Resources departments.
With a professional background spanning banking, hospitality, and real estate, Ruth blends high-stakes precision with a deep commitment to service. She is the architect of GBP’s internal coordination, utilizing rigorous tracking systems and cross-departmental status meetings to ensure that no detail is ever lost. Her top priority remains the integrity of the publication: “I am most passionate about our multi-step proofing process,” Ruth says. “Ensuring every church and advertiser has the opportunity to review and perfect their layout is what sets a GBP directory apart.”
Ruth’s leadership style is rooted in problem-solving and team-building. She fosters a home-office culture that is highly responsive to our Sales Reps in the field, ensuring they have the support they need to serve our clients effectively.
Outside of the office, Ruth is a dedicated family woman. Whether she is supporting her three children in their various careers and college journeys or enjoying time with her husband and their dog, Vinnie, she believes that a strong, supportive home life is the foundation for professional excellence.
