As Art Director, Toni Young ensures that every page of a Guide Book & Directory meets the “GBP Gold Standard.” Leading a talented team of designers, Toni oversees the production of over 800+ unique publications annually across 25 states. Her mission is simple: create clean, clear layouts that catch a parishioner’s eye while providing the professional polish local businesses need to thrive.
Toni views the design process as a collaborative journey. By bridging the gap between field notes and the final press, she and her team ensure that every advertiser’s vision is accurately translated onto the page. “We look closely at every piece,” Toni says. “I always ask my team: ‘Would you want to buy something from that ad?’ If the answer isn’t a resounding yes, we keep working.”
While she embraces the future—using AI to help sales reps generate concepts and leveraging Adobe’s fillable & mobile conversions for digital viewing—Toni remains a firm believer in the “Human Touch.” Every ad is human-designed and reviewed for accuracy. This commitment to detail is supported by a multi-step proofing process that keeps communication open with churches until they are 100% satisfied.
A true creative at heart, Toni finds inspiration outside the office through crafting, painting, and working with epoxy.
