GBP was founded by Bob Vogt and Jim Masterson on April 2nd, 1991 with the idea to produce a stewardship/directory book for congregations that would be directly mailed into each member’s home.

Guide Book Publishing (GBP) was founded in 1991 with a single, powerful mission: to provide congregations with a high-quality communication tool that actually gets read. What started as a vision by Bob Vogt and Jim Masterson has grown into a national standard for church stewardship and local business outreach.

 

Built on Stability We believe in the power of the “tangible.” While the world has gone digital, the Guide Book & Directory remains a staple on the kitchen counters and coffee tables of church families. Our commitment to quality is personal—in fact, our very first pressman from 1993 was with us for 30 years overseeing our production, and trained today’s team ensuring every book meets our rigorous standards for “cleaner, crisper, and richer” printing.

 

Innovation for the Modern Parish We haven’t just stayed the course; we’ve led the way. From expanding our digital press capabilities during economic shifts to launching integrated Online Directories and Mobile Apps, we ensure our advertisers reach the congregation wherever they are. Under the leadership of Amanda Vogt and our executive team, GBP continues to invest in the latest print technology, offering businesses “Prime Location” color placements that command attention and drive local loyalty.
